ears of paleopolis

Underwater installation

Paleopolis is the ancient capital of the Cycladic island of Andros, where systematic archaeological excavations have not yet been carried out. Nine giant cement ears were submerged in the bay of the ancient city, in an area where diving is strictly prohibited.

Today, two of the ears remain in their original position. The rest have been “stolen”.
